Campaigns 2016 June

Welcome to the "Tell us what you think!" participation process, a collaborative space to help us continue improving the UOC through proposals made by all of the employees who work at the University and the group companies.

As you know, last month we sent out a job satisfaction and commitment survey. Now that we have the results, the goal is to draw up an action plan so that the UOC can work on the areas in which there is still room for improvement. Our aim is to include some of the ideas received during this participation process in the action plan.

The process will be open from 30 June to 27 July 2016.

How does the participation process work?

1. Write down your proposal

2. Vote and comment on the proposals

3. Drafting the action plan

We're sure that you have ideas for improving the UOC. We want to hear about them. We propose three specific topics: time management, work meetings and decision-making; management and coordination between departments; work atmosphere and resources. These are topics that concern our institution as a whole and which were given neutral scores in the satisfaction survey. So there are still things we can do to improve. Write down your ideas on the form and share them with your colleagues. You have until 20 July.

You can comment on other colleagues' proposals; working together always helps develop ideas. You can also vote for the proposals you like most, up to five different proposals for each of the three topics. Voting will take place from 21 to 27 July.

The participation process' best-rated ideas will be included in the action plan being developed to tackle the issued detected in the satisfaction survey's results. To make this possible, the process will proceed as follows:

  • The authors of the most-voted proposal for each of the three topics will be able to present their proposal before the survey and action plan management team (Eduard Bosch, deputy general manager; José M. de la Dehesa, director of Personnel and Social Responsibility; Bàrbara Morral, director of Staff Development).
  • The same people will be able to present their proposal at one of the group meetings that will be held in September to draw up the action plan. The other most-voted proposals (from the second to the fifth most-voted in each topic) will also be analysed at these group meetings.
  • Insofar as it is possible, these proposals will be integrated in the final action plan. This will depend on the available budget and their alignment with the objectives of the action plan itself and the UOC Strategic Plan.
